This year, the Renegade has asked participants to purchase One or Multi-day Convention badges, in addition to the event for the game system of their choice. The reason for this is that the Badge pays for the Hotel, and the fee goes towards the event prize support, or towards making the event the best it can be.

All you have to do is just click the Paypal buttons below to register for the event you are interested in.  Players may register for multiple events, scheduling permitting.

– We will be using a Badge system for our Reservations this year.  The Con Badge is REQUIRED for access to the events of the Con.  If you want to play in any of our fantastic gaming events you will need a Badge.  If you just want to come hang out, look around, and visit the Vendor Hall, then you won’t need a badge for this year’s event.  Please look carefully below and make sure that you add a Con Badge to the Cart before you select anything else.  As always we look forward to seeing you at this year’s Renegade Open!

Do you like 40k but want to play a game in less than an hour? Do you prefer small scale games in tight, skirmish situations? The Renegade Open has you covered. The 2018 Renegade Open will be hosting 2 skirmish level 40k games, Combat Patrol, and Kill Team.

Combat Patrol is played just like standard Warhammer 40k, but on a 4′ x 4′ play area, using 400 point lists, built using a special Combat Patrol detachment. Check out the army building rules and preliminary missions below.

Combat Patrol will be offered on Friday, November 16th at 1:00 pm and will finish by 5:00 pm. The cost to enter is $10. Please note the registration page on the website currently lists 6:00 pm. The correct time is 1:00 pm.

Kill Team is the new squad sized game released this year by Games Workshop. The Renegade Open will be played using the official Matched Play rules, with special Renegade Open Missions. Check out the Kill Team Mission Packet Below

Games Workshop’s newest game is now available at the Renegade as part of our stable of events we offer during our weekend of fun.

A fast paced tabletop miniatures game, Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team pits teams of elite specialists, ragtag zealots and hard-bitten veterans against each other in vicious skirmish battles to the bitter end. A single squad of well-trained and well-equipped warriors can tip the balance of a wider conflict … choose your team wisely!

It’s been said that Warhammer 40k is best played as a Beer and Pretzels game, a way to socialize with your buddies, to relax and have a good time.  We completely agree with this concept, and are now offering a new 40k event:  40k BEERHAMMER.

While our complete rules may be found HERE, this is the essence of our new event:  Simplified Renegade missions with Beer.

Army Selection Guide

• Armies will consist of 1250 points or less.
• Armies will be battle-forged and can include the following options:
• 2 Detachments of any kind are allowed.
• 0-1 Supreme Command Detachment.
• No Single Model Units of Power Level >30 will be allowed.
• Imperial Armour/Forge World Armies and/or Units will NOT be allowed.
• You must use the most current version of the rules for your army and HAVE THE BOOK(s) Present with you, no exceptions (this is to ensure there is no miscommunication between you and your opponent). An Electronic Copy is just fine to have.
• Game length is set to 5 Battle Rounds. Do not roll for additional turns.
• Game Time is 90 Minutes (1hr 30 mins) per round.
